簡介
楊思言自小在無宗派背景的草根教會長大，家庭和教會環境的薰陶下給了她自由和空間去從不同新角度探問聖經和信仰，以及感受到信仰在草根處境的相關性，深感神學探討不應限於學術交流，或是為學者的興趣而設的，而是必須向不同階層的平信徒說話，也是為不同的階層而說話的。
思言2008年入讀中神，越來越喜歡反思神學，感恩神讓她有機會遠赴蘇格蘭深造。正值香港2014-15年佔中運動時，她在亞巴甸大學寫有關巴特的政教觀以及其與香港處境的關係。到2019-20反送中運動時，她在美國普林斯頓神學院撰寫改革宗的聖餐神學，主要研究改革家慈雲理以猶太人出埃及歷史為出發點的聖餐觀。他以民為主、強調聖靈與每人同在的進路，強硬地擺脫羅馬教廷由上而下的聖禮觀，有深遠的政治含意。2020年思言回巢中神，希望其教學能與同學在這處境「齊上齊落」，以神學對應社會的掙扎和關注。
