洪亮博士於二零一五年十一月加入中國神學研究院教授團,在此以前先後接受法學、宗教學以及神學的系統訓練,對於跨越學科與宗派藩籬、具備批判性的神學思考充滿興趣。他的神學淵源是巴特至莫爾特曼這條思想線索,目前正逐漸把視角擴展至同樣歸屬於這一線索的朋霍費爾,與此同時,他的關注點也包括神學人類學和實踐哲學。
洪亮博士現時進行的學術活動包括以下幾方面:

I. 神學人類學(Theological Anthropology):
洪亮博士在莫爾特曼教授指導下完成博士論文之後,目前正在撰寫教授資格論文(Habilitation project),其主題為「阿倫特、約納斯與朋霍費爾論責任的根源」(The Root of Responsibility: A Theological-anthropological Discussion with Reference to the Works of Hannah Arendt, Hans Jonas and Dietrich Bonhoeffer),指導教授為聖安德魯斯大學的施威博教授(Supervisor: Prof. Christoph Schwöbel, St. Andrew's University)。
